A Night’s Game

Inspired by true life events, Alleyne Dance’s production, A Night’s Game is a dark, atmospheric and abstract work that reflects the turmoil and strife of human emotion when faced with the prospect of incarceration. Explore the minds journey as the contemplation of the loss of freedom engulfs every waking moment.

Winner of Best Female Dances in Der Theater Verlag Awards 2020.

  • "The Alleyne twins, Kristina and Sadé, deliver dance that demands respect."

    Graham Watts

  • "A Night's Game grows stronger at each viewing. It is absorbing, energetic non-narrative work"

    GW Dance Writer 2019

  • “A tense game with moments of beauty but a game which seemed to have no rules. It was only as the audience rose to their feet in a standing ovation that the rising pressure finally snapped and we knew that we didn’t have to play!"

    Anna Mortimer

  • "A light inhabits us. Suddenly, we feel the pulsations of the world. The journey begins with Kristina and Sadé Alleyne, who came from London. With the poignancy of poetry, in gestures cut with a line, they recount the duality of emotions and this time spent in the reconciliation of contradictory feelings. A delight”

    Lapdepeche.fr

  • “These sweet ladies are amazing. Beautiful dancers, true manifestation of graceful power the human body can produce, and sensitive teachers who will gently push you to places you wouldn’t be able to visit your- self..."

    Jakub Zeman, Observer in Amsterdam

  • “Abstract and emotionally rich”

    KA Bradley, Exeunt, UK 2018

  • "Alleyne Dance are rising stars of the contemporary dance scene. A Night's Game deals with key issues whilst leaving space for the audience to draw from it their own thoughts and conclusions."

    Pawlet Brookes, Serendipity UK

  • “A strong piece, two strong women.”

    Boris Michael Gruhl
